The power of MSM
MSM is an organic sulfur compound that plays a major role in healthy body functions. It is commonly found in raw milk, meat, fish,and many fruits, vegetables and grains. However, it is extremely fragile and easily destroyed during even moderate processing. MSM helps eliminate toxins, nourishes skin, relieves pain & inflammation, reduces swelling, and speeds healing. MSM was isolated by Robert Herschler and Dr. Stanley Jacob of the University of Oregon Medical School on the early 80's. Their research revealed tht MSM, or methylsulfonylmethane, is a natural sulfur compound found in all living things. It is actually one of the most prominent compounds in our bodies, just behind water and sodium. A 160 pound man has approximately 4 pounds of sulfur as body weight.

Scientists almost missed MSM when studying nutritional needs because it plays such a small part in our food chain. However, in his research, Dr. Jacob determined that the sulfur in MSM, called sulfonyl, is as safe and as important as vitamin C in diet, unlike the bad sulfurs; sulfas sulfates, sulfites and sulfides.
